Abstract
The article examines changes in the interpretation of reader literacy in the context of digitalization of education. It analyzes the pedagogical aspects of applying information and communication technologies (ICT) and artificial intelligence (AI) in the process of teaching the Russian language in general secondary education. The author emphasizes the need to develop students’ digital and cross-disciplinary competencies, including critical thinking, skills for interpreting multimodal texts, and evaluating the reliability of sources.
