Abstract
The author of this article focuses on the problem of stabilization of the psycho-emotional state in primary school children. One of the effective methods of solving this problem, according to the author, is to increase the self-esteem of primary school students. The relevance of this study is expressed in the fact that in a constantly changing world it is very important to pay special attention to the psycho-emotional background of younger schoolchildren, since it is the children of this age group who are particularly sensitive to the changes taking place and are highly susceptible to psychological influence from the environment. The purpose of this study is to describe the psychoemotional features characteristic of primary school children and to give practical recommendations for improving self-esteem. Having analyzed the theoretical sources on the research topic, the author gives a brief description of the features of psychological development in children of this period. For example, it was revealed that children of this age are characterized by inability to fully control their feelings and a high level of «contagiousness» of emotional experiences in relation to other people. That is why it is so important to stabilize their emotional state before the lesson begins. Based on the analysis of scientific papers, the author has developed practical recommendations for improving self-esteem in primary school children in the form of a system of exercises.
