PROCESSING OF EASTERN SVERBIGA FOR OBTAINING PLANT-BASED MEDICINAL RAW MATERIALS

Abstract

This review article discusses the aspects and significance of using eastern sverbiga plant as a medicinal raw material. Pubmed, CyberLeninka, eLIBRARY, Scopus databases were used to search for scientific articles. The article elaborates on the features, scope and geographical distribution of eastern sverbiga. Studies show that eastern curlew contains beneficial substances such as trace elements, flavonoids, tannins and many more. These substances have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties, which makes eastern sverbigas effective in fighting various diseases. The findings of the article emphasise the great importance of eastern sverbiga as a medicinal plant raw material for medicine and pharmacy.
