Abstract
The integration of open online courses into the system of training future computer science teachers is an important step aimed at improving the effectiveness of educational processes and introducing new technologies. The opportunities provided by such courses contribute to the implementation of innovative methods and approaches in curricula, enhancing the quality of education, and developing students' professional competencies.
As part of the research on the effectiveness and advantages of using open online courses in the training of computer science teachers, an online survey was conducted among students of the Physics and Mathematics Faculty at Makhambet Utemisov West Kazakhstan University. A total of 115 students participated in the survey, and their opinions and experiences were taken into account in the study. Students noted that open online courses provide an opportunity for self-education, effective use of time, and mastering new information and communication technologies. In the learning process, independent work skills are developed, motivation to learn increases, and the integration of theory and practice is improved. However, during the use of such courses, technical difficulties and internet connection issues were identified, which became significant barriers for students.
