HISTORICAL AND THEORETICAL-PRACTICAL FOUNDATIONS OF THE EMERGENCE OF ELECTRONIC INFORMATION RESOURCES

Abstract

Historical sources also include electronic information resources. The purpose of this article is to study the theoretical foundations and practical factors that contributed to the emergence and development of electronic information resources. In this work, theoretical examinations of the works of foreign scientists on the topic were carried out. Considering the works of scientists, descriptive methods were used in the article. Definitions of the terms "information" and "resource" are given, the formation of an information resource is considered. An overview of the stages of development of information resources from ancient civilization to the present day was also conducted. The main discoveries that influenced the evolution of information resources were identified in stages. It was discussed how the development of information resources on history has influenced society and culture. In particular, the work on the introduction of information technologies into library activities, which is one of the areas of information culture, preservation, accumulation of information resources, was considered. A comparative analysis and examination of the works of many foreign authors on the topic has been carried out. According to the research work, today any institutions striving for development must innovate in their activities and review their daily lives and practices. This study gives an idea of the theoretical foundations and practical developments, drawing conclusions, determining the origin of electronic information resources.
